NROG Meetup Guidelines & General Disclaimer

Welcome to NROG! We love getting together to operate, test our setups, and share knowledge. Whether we are deploying portable masts at a local park or heading down a dirt trail to a remote operating spot, our goal is to build a great community of operators.

To keep things running smoothly and ensure everyone understands the nature of our group, please review these simple guidelines before attending any NROG meetup.

We Are a Community, Not a Corporation

NROG is simply an informal network of volunteers and radio enthusiasts who like to get on the air together. We are not an insured corporate entity or a formalized club. Think of NROG as a communication junction that facilitates meetups, we are simply a group of friends gathering to operate radios.

You Are Your Own Safety Officer (Assumption of Risk)

Involvement in any NROG-affiliated meetup is entirely of your own volition. Operating outdoors inherently comes with variables, from weather and rough terrain to handling heavy gear and electrical equipment. By attending, you acknowledge these factors and assume 100% of the risk associated with your participation.

Zero Liability for Volunteers and Organizers

The volunteers operating under the NorCal Regional Operators Group bear absolutely zero responsibility or liability for your personal safety. Furthermore, NROG and its volunteers are not liable for any damage incurred to your vehicle, radio equipment, or personal property during any activities attended by group members.

Accompaniment for Minors

We love seeing the next generation get into the hobby, but safety comes first. Any attendee under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult, parent, or legal guardian. That adult is solely responsible for the minor's well-being, supervision, and safety at all times during the event.

The Bottom Line: Come out, have fun, and make some great contacts, but remember that you are entirely responsible for yourself, your family, and your gear.
